Celebrating Matt’s Life & His Story
Matt lived with a larger-than-life spirit that touched everyone around him. He was a devoted son, husband, brother, uncle, teammate, coach, and friend whose energy, humor, and generosity made every moment unforgettable. Whether he was fishing with family, cooking holiday meals, coaching sports, helping someone with a project, or simply making people laugh, Matt had a remarkable way of bringing people together and making them feel loved.
This space is dedicated to celebrating Matt’s life and preserving the stories, memories, and moments that made him so special. Through every shared memory, photo, and message, we honor the incredible impact he had on his family, friends, and community, while also continuing his legacy of living fully, loving deeply, and always showing up for the people who mattered most.
Matt, you will forever be missed. And your legacy will live on forever.
How To Live In Matt Years
If you knew Matt, you know he did not live in normal years. He lived in “Matt Years,” where one Matt Year equaled two or three regular human years. He packed more life, more memories, and more connection into every moment than most people do in a lifetime. He reminded all of us to show up fully, stay connected, laugh harder, and make the most of the time we have.

Matt's favorite prayer, the Serenity Prayer, goes:
